Gardening Team Leader

Full time – Cambridge

We are looking for an experienced Gardening Team Leader to join us in Cambridge. You will be responsible for planning and undertaking daily garden and grounds maintenance alongside your team.

Our Team Leader will:

  • Lead a team of gardeners in a stunning retirement village
  • Directly communicate with our client
  • Develop, plan and execute daily and seasonal routines for the care of the grounds
  • Meet or exceed property contract standards
  • Cater to resident requests
  • Bring a high level of expertise, consistency and creativity to the gardens
  • Ensure that pests, diseases and plant health are monitored and treated, using environmentally sustainable
  • methods and products
  • Order essential materials and team supplies
  • Be responsible for making sure health and safety policies are maintained on site
  • At times may assist other teams
  • Consistently uphold Barks core values

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Level 4 Certificate in Horticulture or higher or industry equivalent
  • At least 3 years gardening experience
  • Proven leadership skills in a team environment
  • Full clean NZ drivers license
  • Grow-safe and First Aid Certificates
  • Computer Literate with experience working from phones and tablets (iPad)
